Chapter 1
EPOV
“Welcome to Tokyo! Local time, Seven am! We wish you a pleasant stay!” The pilot’s cheery yet scary voice boomed all over the aircraft as the plane rolled to a gentle stop. Beside me, Alice was bouncing around in her seat.
“I can’t believe it!” She whispered excitedly. “We finally get to go to Japan and see a real vampire school!”
At the end of the row, Jasper sighed, before reminding his wife that Cross Academy also had a class for humans. She didn’t pay any attention. He looked over the top of her head and rolled his eyes at me. I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Come on, time to go and see what my dear old friend has done for himself and the vampire breed he heard about many years ago” Carlisle smiled, before carrying his luggage out of the plane and dragging Esme along behind him.
This was going to be fun.

“Yuuki! It’s almost time for Carlisle and his family to appear! Is everything ready for them?” The chairman was panicking. He had had ages to get ready for this new breed of vampire to arrive, yet he had left it all to the last minute in true chairman Cross style.
“Father, I just thought of something” I said slowly. He turned to look at me.
“They speak fluent Japanese, darling” He smirked. I smiled at him before running to the boy’s dorm to find Zero. He was meant to be helping out with the preparations, but instead he and Kaname had decided to go and play chess instead.
“I shall let you have your pawn back if you let me-” Kaname stopped talking the minute I came bursting through the door.
“There you are, you lazy vampires!” I smirked. “Chairman needs you to help with the preparations. Carlisle, his wife and their kids should be over in an hour, and we really need to get the night dorm’s extra rooms ready” I explained, before letting out a scream. Out of the large French windows I could see…
“CULLENS! THE CULLENS ARE HERE! GET EVERYONE DOWNSTAIRS, NOW!!!” I shrieked, knowing fine well that everyone this side of the school could hear me. I had been told by the chairman to wait until I was called for, so I decided to watch this mysterious breed from the window.
They were all very beautiful, as to be expected from vampires. I watched as the chairman ran to greet a blonde older looking man, whom I suspected was Carlisle. I turned around to look at Kaname.
“They seem like nice people” I said to him. “You should go meet them, brother” (In this story, Kaname and Yuuki are still brother and sister, but they are not romantically involved with each other. They think of each other as siblings only. You’ll see why eventually)
“That I shall, Yuuki. But I shall wait until the chairman calls the three of us down” He looked at Zero, who nodded his head slightly. I smiled at my two brothers and turned to look out of the window again, only to see a young man, around my age, with copper hair, staring at me. I blushed and looked ,away.
“I should like to introduce you to my “children” as it were” We heard the chairman say. We took that as our cue to go downstairs. Kaname went first, followed by Zero and then me.
“Good day, my name is Kaname Kuran, it’s a pleasure to meet you” Kaname said politely, as he greeted each one in turn. Zero repeated the process, until it was my turn to come down the stairs and greet them.
“Hello! My name is Yuuki Cross” I smiled, kissing each member of the family on the cheek.
Carlisle then introduced his family.
“This is my wife, Esme” He said, gesturing to a beautiful woman with wavy brown hair “Then my adopted children, Alice (A girl smaller than me with spiky black hair waved at me), Her husband Jasper (A friendly looking blonde man nodded at me), Rosalie and Emmett (A large man resembling a teddy bear and a dainty model with blonde hair both smiled towards me) and Edward.” Edward looked at me nervously, running a hand through his copper hair. He looked like something out of a Shojo manga-he was beautiful.
The chairman smiled before turning to the kids and saying:
“We have your night class uniforms ready, they are sitting in your rooms, which Yuuki will show you to now. Kaname, you will escort Carlisle and Esme through to my office, and Zero, it’s time for your patrol!” At this, we all parted our separate ways.

“I can’t wait to see what the moon dorm is like!” Alice jumped up and down as we made our way to the gates, where Zero was on patrol.
“You may want to keep her quiet” I smiled at Jasper “The girls up here at the gates are obsessed with the night class. They will get scary if they see you, and I forgot Artemis.”
They looked at me strangely. I sighed.
“Artemis is a rod that is very dangerous to vampires, but it can also give a human a nasty whack” I laughed, and they laughed with me. Suddenly, we heard a scream.
“LOOK! IT’S YUUKI AND SOME HANDSOME MEN!” A girl’s voice screeched. In a second, Zero was in the crowds, desperately trying to hold them back. I groaned.
“You guys head through the gate as quickly as you can, I’ll help hold these mentalists off for a few moments!” I yelled to the Cullens, who looked slightly scared. I couldn’t blame them.

“I am so sorry” I apologised when I met up with the Cullens at the dorm steps. They assured me it was fine.
“Ok, now here’s the awkward bit” I laughed and opened the door. As expected, sitting on the sofas in the lobby were the residents of the dorm.
“Cullens, I would like you to meet your new dorm mates.”
I introduced them to each other, and then the rest of them went to class.
“Do you want me to show you to your rooms now, or do you want to just relax for a while?” They decided to relax, so I thought it was a good time to ask them questions.
“So, do you guys…eat?” I asked nervously, scared they might think I was being nosy.
“No, we don’t. We don’t sleep either. We survive off of animal blood” Edward explained. I was instantly mesmerized by his eyes.
At around seven am the next day, I began to feel tired. We had been talking for ages, and I had learned a lot about their breed, like they had about mine.
“I’m sorry, but I am beginning to get tired. May I show you to your rooms?” I asked, feeling like an awful host. The Cullens smiled at me.
“Its fine, we’ve kept you up all night. Show us the way!” Alice smiled, and they followed me as I showed them around.
Alice and Rosalie had rooms up near where I stayed, and Edward, Emmett and Jasper had rooms near Kaname’s room.
As I was about to go to my room, Edward turned around and gave me a fantastic crooked smile.
I was suddenly very excited to see what the next few months would bring.
